Bavubuka Represents Uganda at the Global Prize in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Bavubuka Allstarz Foundation
would like to thank State Representatives Jon Hoadley (D-60th
District) and Brandt Iden '05 (R-61st District) for working together to
create and present individual tributes from the State of Michigan to
each of the ten finalists for the Kalamazoo College Global Prize for
Transformative Social Justice Leadership. Rep. Iden delivered the
tributes and spoke to the finalists in the College's Arcus Center for
Social Justice Leadership this afternoon, as K President Eileen
Wilson-Oyelaran and Provost Mickey McDonald looked on. The
finalists--from Chicago, Los Angeles, Madison (Wis.), New York City,
Phoenix, Washington (D.C.), and the countries of Colombia, India,
Mexico, and #Uganda--were very honored and so was the College.
